Sneak Preview
Feb 11th, 2009 by Tana
Yesterday we took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather – 62 degrees! – and went for a walk.
Ben has about outgrown the stroller – his head almost bumps the canopy when it’s pulled over him – and will have to start riding his bike instead soon.
So every time we go for a walk, I think it might be our last – me with the two boys in the stroller.
We’ve told him he’ll probably be riding his bike when we go for walks this year. But Steve thinks the brakes on his bike are a little “slow” so I need to get his bike serviced before we set out like that.
Our walk is mostly flat, but there is a higher part of town and a lower part of town, so he will need to use his brakes at some point. [Right now on our driveway he just uses his feet.]
And his bike is getting a bit small for him. My goal is to get him a new one for his birthday if I don’t find a good deal on a used one between now and then.
Joey isn’t quite big enough for the little bike yet. [He’s a bit small for his age.] But as soon as he is, if Ben is riding without training wheels, I bet Joey will be too.
But today the sneak preview is over and we’re back to normal weather for this time of year. At some point it will get warm again and it will stay warm, and I’ll feel that sense of relief I feel every year when spring finally comes.
I am so ready for warm weather.
