Saturday morning, Ben got up before Steve did (as usual). First thing Ben did was to go running into our bedroom and jump on the bed to wake up Daddy. [Somehow I’m never there for that…] Once Daddy was awake, Ben decided to use his little doctor kit on Daddy. He gave shots in the forehead and sophisticated stuff like that. Steve asked Ben where he got his training. [No answer.] Then he asked Ben if he was a quack. And ever since then, Ben has been calling himself Dr. Quack. Someday he’ll understand why we think that is so funny…
Warm and Balmy
In other news, it has finally warmed up here. It’s supposed to hit the 50’s today, in fact.
Last Friday was when it started. We had all the snow on the ground and I was so tired of cloudy days. I went to take some trash out to the garbage can which was sitting by the curb and it felt so balmy and nice. I decided that when we went to town, since it felt so warm I would just put light jackets on the boys and I wouldn’t wear a jacket myself at all.
Later that morning, we left for town. Ben was in his light sweatshirt jacket. Joey had his wool sweater on, but I hadn’t bothered with the wool blanket I put over him as well. I, of course, was wearing a sweater but no jacket.
On our way to town we drove by the new gas station which happens to have a time and temp deal up with their sign. Temperature? 13F. Gracious!
If there was a mommy school for bad mommies like they have traffic school for bad drivers (ask me how I know), there would be a seat in the front row with my name on it.
Eye Candy
I’ve uploaded a couple new pictures of Joey over on Flickr. There’s one of me holding him while he sits all by himself (almost), but it’s not a great picture of me so I’m not posting it here.
This one is really cute, though. I may send it to Steve to use for the background on his computer at work. Click on the picture below and you can see the other pictures as well.
What a great smile!
